We are now looking for an additional lab technician to our radio hard ware development unit. Lab operations is a crucial part in radio development. The lab needs to be equipped with right, well-functioning equipment. The lab needs to be in good order. The prototypes used in the lab might need to be modified and sometimes even produced in the lab. Instruments and prototypes need to be shipped to other sites. The lab technician is an important facilitator to make this happen. The lab technician works with all kinds of tasks that supports the lab operations.

We organize in cross functional development teams in which continuous improvement, innovation and knowledge sharing is part of the daily work.

Responsibilities:
Collaborate with other lab technicians
Prioritize own work
Be proactive and prepare equipment and tools for upcoming needs (e.g new projects)
Support development, predevelopment and research projects
Build or modify prototypes and test equipment
Support with contacts towards prototype “factories”
Send hardware to external and internal recipients, globally
Handle contact with equipment and tool suppliers. (e.g repair, demo licenses etc.)
Plan demos for lab equipment
IT- Handling. HW & SW, upgrade and solutions.
Responsible for equipment and tool procurement for OPEX and CAPEX
Be a part of making specifications for lab equipment
Involved in OHS, 5S, continuous improvements
Support and advice regarding ESD
Plan the usage of lab equipment together with engineers and/or lab responsible manager
Involved in the lab seating planning together with the lab responsible line manager
Support engineers and managers
Perform delegated tasks on the behalf of the lab responsible manager


Key Qualifications:
Basic knowledge in low-current electronics and mechanics
At least 5 years of experience in similar role
Good skills in soldering, mechanical modification as milling etc.
CAD CAM knowledge (be able to build mechanical prototypes)
Service minded
Open minded and analytical, problem-solving skills
Ability to work in teams with minimal supervision but also ability to take initiative and work independently when needed
Have an interest to constantly learn, communicate, interact, share information, and are willing to help others. Between organizations, internally and externally outside Ericsson
A quality mindset, ability for strategic thinking and a drive to always improve
You have sense of ownership, are analytical, structural and result oriented
You are innovative and will find creative solutions when lacking information
Be able to communicate fluently in both Swedish and English
