Laboratory Engineer

Poolia Väst Presentation We are now looking for a lab based scientist for an assignment at The Thrombosis and Haemostasis (T&H) section at AstraZeneca in Mölndal. An approximate start is in the beginning/middle of June and it ends at 2010-08-31. Last application date is 3rd of June. We are continuously interviewing candidates since we are aiming at filling the position as soon as possible. Arbetsuppgifter The work will be focused on preclinical in vitro studies to evaluate the pharmacological effects of biological and small molecule compounds mainly in coagulation based methods, chromomeric assays, gel permeability methods and thrombin generation assays to meet project needs. The scientist will work on one or more projects in collaboration with colleagues within the section. The work demands, therefore, that the scientist are good at working within a team, is flexible in the approach to work, and is comfortable in discussing data with others. You should also feel confident to, where needed, challenge established practice to further optimize performance. Utbildning/erfarenhet A background in biomedical analyses, biology, biochemistry or pharmacology would be preferred. Documented experience with in vitro methods within the area of thrombosis and haemostasis and/or experience of in vivo work would be a distinct advantage. In vivo studies might be included in this position depending on the demands from our project organisation.
