There is now an opportunity for you to be part in the development of autonomous transport solutions. We are now looking for a Laws and Regulations Specialist that will be part of the Safety team in Volvo Autonomous Solutions (V.A.S).

About the role
We are looking for a Laws and Regulations Specialist who will be responsible to ensure that our solutions are compliant with global regulations for our autonomous products, including electronics, radio communication and data management (ISO26262, EU Machinery Directive, GDPR, CE marking..).


With support from the V.A.S organization and the legal community within Volvo Group you will identify applicable laws and regulations that are relevant for our autonomous products. You will also collaborate with authorities, development teams and suppliers to define, communicate, support and ensure that the mandatory product requirements are fulfilled.


You will be our main contact towards the authorities with regards to discussions concerning laws and regulations for our autonomous products. This also includes to work with upcoming new legislations and coordinating this work with V.A.S organization and the team that is lobbying to get in V.A.S needs into the new legislation. The planning and submitting of the required permits for performing tests and running operations for our pilots are also within your responsibility.

Other criteria:
Strong engineering background with deep knowledge of the product development process
Experience in standard and regulation management (preferably for machinery or automotive products)
Relevant educational background
Experience in driving change in cross-functional teams and proven leadership, communication and pedagogical skills
