In this newly created position as LCA & EHS Specialist your mission is to support the delivery of Mölnlycke’s sustainability roadmap based at our HQ in Gothenburg, Sweden, and the Company’s Net Zero commitment. Continuing to invest in a sustainable and safe future, you will have the opportunity to drive and shape our internal work with LCA, whilst also acting as a key stakeholder in our continuous health and safety mission.

PURPOSE OF POSITION
Conduct a variety of life cycle analyses (LCA) at company and product level, to support the delivery of MHC sustainable solutions and Company’s Net Zero commitment, including: project management, data collection, impact modelling, corporate and/or product environmental footprints, and quality assurance
Interpret LCA results and prepare communications for internal and external audiences e.g., EPD
Support the building of internal expertise on LCA through mentoring and training
Analyse and report on global environmental and health & safety (EHS) performance, review data required for performance monitoring
Act as the Global super user/product owner for a new EHS reporting software system and LCA platform/tool
Act as the Health and Safety advisor providing support to Head Quarters site

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Conduct a variety of life cycle analyses (LCA) at company and product level, to support the delivery of MHC sustainable solutions and Company’s Net Zero commitment
Analyse and report on global environmental and health & safety (EHS) performance, review data required for performance monitoring
Active participation on the Work Environment Council at HQ, representing EHS
Contribute to audit preparation, conduct internal audits and lead on any assigned tasks resulting from identified nonconformances/opportunities for improvement
Conduct the packaging reporting for Mölnlycke’s obligations according to relevant legislation
Assist managers where required in incident investigation and reporting at HQ site
Maintain and improve the Health & Safety legal register for HQ as well as performing the necessary evaluations of compliance in order to determine compliance with the relevant international regulations

KEY DECISIONS
Knowledge of LCA databases (e.g., Ecoinvent, etc.) and in-depth knowledge of database management
Knowledge of applicable legislation within the EHS area
Project management skills
Good people skills, with ability to collaborate with individuals across of the organisation, including management and customers
Works independently and on schedule ability to work independently and act in a timely matter
Attention to detail and quality, with an analytical mindset
Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
Curious and creative
Self-organized, motivated mindset and problem-solving skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Fluent in Swedish and English (written and oral), any other languages is a plus

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Academic background in e.g. life sciences, chemistry, engineering, environment or occupational health as well as EHS management or business administration
At least 3 years of experience in conducting LCA modelling and impact assessments for internal and external use e.g. EPD
Experience in LCA platforms, tools and databases management (e.g. GABI, SIMAPRO, EcoInvent, Etool)
Recognised qualifications in Environmental and/or Health & Safety field
Experience of working with EHS reporting software systems
Experience of working with relevant EHS related certification standards desirable
Certified auditor ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 desirable
Familiarity with LCA standards & guidelines (e.g. ISO 14040/44)
Familiarity with climate change reporting frameworks (e.g. GHG Protocol, SBTi, etc.)
