Energy Components (EC) from Tieto is a global market leading oil and gas industry solution for production reporting, allocation and hydrocarbon accounting.

Revenue accounting refers to the process of evaluating sales and purchases of hydrocarbons, submitting invoices, allocating revenue and costs back to source, and distribute the proceeds to all entitled parties. All companies in the oil and gas industry needs to book revenue and value of inventory positions, both for operated and non-operated assets, and as such this area form an essential part of the oil and gas value chain.

Energy Components has comprehensive functionality for revenue accounting supporting the needs and requirements found in all major oil and gas regions. This support is delivered through a software module called EC Revenue.

Currently Tieto Energy Components Revenue module has 13 talented persons located in Norway and India. The team develops software used for invoicing oil and gas sales and tariff income as well as monitoring purchase and tariff cost. It also produces governmental reports, tracks quantity flows and allows forecasting of Quantities and Revenue. In addition to this it does complex Inventory evaluations and produces exports for booking to ERP systems.


Responsibilities:

Energy Components is seeking an experienced Product Owner to manage the development team in India and Norway as well as visit customers to obtain development requirements within the product, assist in the product road map. As well as assist the Product Manager with Sales support such as Demos as needed.


Profile:

At least 3 years experience in Corporate Accounting (Preferably a degree in Accounting)
Extensive knowledge of the Oil And Gas upstream business
At least 5 years experience with Energy Components
At least 5 years experience programming in SQL
Some Experience with Java programming
Experience with XML
Able to follow up and manage a development team in Norway and India of 12 persons
Experience in Agile and Scrum techniques within the Product Owner role
Good Customer relations experience
Fluent English is mandatory, Norwegian is counted as advantage
Some experience with JBOSS
Good knowledge of ERP Accounting systems such as SAP and Oracle Finance
The ability to do extensive travel mainly but not restricted to India, USA and Canada on a regular basis.
Experience using version software such as Wincvs and issue tracking software as Jira
