Purpose of the position
At HIAB you will be an important contributor to secure agreed technical quality output for serial produced products. Main technical areas are mechanical design, hydraulics. Your task interacts with control system/Human Machine Interfaces and Internet Of Things.


Main responsibilities:
Good understanding/feeling for what a good technical solution is (simply, reliable, cost effective, easy to -assembly, -mount and maintain)
Approving technical specifications and technical interface towards suppliers and external consultants.
Ensure cost effective serial products
Managing Bill Of Materials, technical specifications and other technical information.
Execute daily ECO’s, ECR’s
Refining FEM, technical tests, proposals from suppliers etc to become clear and transparent decision alternatives and recommending one alternative.
Drive technical meetings such as FMEA, FaultTree, DesignReviews.
Participate in PFMEA, Design For Assembly.
Participate in the decided Product Developments for serial production.
Ensure high quality products with the right cost and availability of all its technical documentation.
Contribute to develop and maintain competence and adequate toolings for the department including testing
Technical lead and technical support to Engineers
Technical lead in development projects
Technical approver of drawings and specifications.



What you’ll need to succeed:
Higher mechanical technical education (>120). Experience from Hydraulics
Experience from Hydraulics
Minimum 5 years experience from R&D work incl mechanics and hydraulics
Theoretical and practical Quality Ensurance for serial products
Experience from PDM’s and ERP’s.
Member in many mechanical product developments
Excellent English skills, both in writing and orally
International collaboration
Project Management
Value Engineering experience, tools and practices
Production and manufacturing of high volume products.
Electrical design
Electronic interface understanding
Ability to work well with others
You are flexible and can handle situations where quick support are needed.
You have a strong technical interest to ensure solid interest and engagement
You have good communication and organizing skills.
You are a calm thinker and structured
You have a driving personality with the capability completing tasks
The position will require some travelling to meet and understand the customer needs and to collaborate with suppliers and other competences.



You will be working together with:
Customers / Vendors
Zepro R&D team, Tail lift R&D team, Customer adoption team Katrineholm.
