Lead Engineer Manager

We are looking for a Lead Engineer Manager to lead our Lead Engineers and strengthen our Engineering team in Vika, Falun.

As a Lead Engineer Manger you will have a combined role where you both have the responsibility to lead, support and coordinate employees and also to perform lead engineering. In your role as a manager we expect you to be a clear and communicative leader in order to support and develop competence and build motivation in your team.

As a Lead Engineer you will be expected to work as a technical project manager for customer projects. Carry out project design on the basis of the clients requirement specification and company policy. Ensure that the product is tailored to fit its functional and production needs. Participate in design reviews and meetings with the client and end customer. These meetings normally take place at the customer’s facilities around the world.

You will manage the work load and distribute new incoming projects in the Lead Engineer team. As a manager you will also have a central role together with Sales support and Project managers, to improve the estimated/spent rate related to design resources. In your operative role as Lead Engineer your main focus will be as a technical project manager for customer projects. You will participate in design reviews and meetings with the client and end customer.

You report to Global Engineering Manager.

The successful candidate will have the following profile

Education & Job experiences:


• Master degree or equivalent within the area of Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering experience, preferably as lead or systems engineer
• Prior experience in a leadership role i.e. project manager or as a 1st line manager
• Prior experience of customer contacts with technical content.
• CAD, preferably Inventor and Vault.

• Well organized, highly motivated for the job and with an open attitude
• Fluent in spoken and written English

Traveling will be necessary in accordance with the project requirements.
