Do you have experience working as a SCADA engineer? Do you have the ability to work in an international team with limited supervision? As a Lead SCADA Engineer for Vestas, you get to develop a career within the global leader in wind energy.


Region NCE –> SBU NCE Service –> North & West, Grid & Control
Plant Engineering is a part of Service NCE (Northern & Central Europe) and supports the organization in installing and servicing a great number of SCADA systems, controlling medium and large sized wind power plants. Our job is to turn a bunch of wind turbines into a power plant, according to contractual and regional requirements.
Our customers can mainly be found among larger power supply companies and professional investors.


Responsibilities:
Configuration and remote commissioning of wind farm control systems
Taking ownership of solving specific technical issues in corporation with development team, internal colleagues etc. using the available process in Vestas.
Organizing training sessions for colleagues or make training videos as applicable.
Acting as a backend support to colleagues within the area of expertise.
Participating in strategic projects within the technical field of expertise.
Representing NCE in integrated product development in Vestas. Reviewing solutions from VPS and Global service



Qualifications:
At least 3 years’ experience of working as a SCADA engineer, for instance in the wind industry
Relevant education within Automation or Information Technology or similar
Experience in PLC programming and communication protocols (preferred IEC101, IEC104, MODBUS, DNP, OPC)
Industrial electricity and electronics knowledge
Understanding of computer and industrial networks
Experience in commissioning and maintenance of server operating systems
Professional English skills, both verbal and written

Competencies:
Good IT skills and experience with MS Office packages
Ability to perform effectively as part of an international team
Ability to work with limited supervision
Ability to handle multiple assignments, organise and prioritise tasks with a skilled analytical and problem-solving approach
Comfortable communicating technical updates to a large organization and to customers
High attention to detail and a solid commitment to quality
