Lead Standardization Engineer

Purpose of the position
We are looking for a Lead Standardization Engineer. The purpose of the position is to maintain, develop and manage the Kalmar Mobile Solutions Group Standard (KGS) and its content in close collaboration with all stakeholders, e.g. Divisional R&D, Sourcing, Services and Operations. Analysis and definition, creation and editing, reviewing, approval and publishing standards is part of the work. The Standardization Function will also provide guidance and support for the whole Kalmar Mobile Solutions organization in standardization and modularization matters. It includes, but not limited to, governance, training and business related topics and strategies.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
• Prioritization, planning, management and execution of activities within the Standardization Function based on business strategies and needs.
• Ownership of the review-approval-publish process for KGS, incl. availability and user friendliness of KGS for internal and external users (suppliers).
• From a strategic and business perspective, initiate and/or lead activities/projects that give benefits by standardization and modularization.
• Secure that all needs from all stakeholders and divisions are included in the preparation of a new or revised standard to get full commitment of it.
• Secure that global standards when applicable for KGS are used and referenced to full extent.
• Develop draft standards, collect review comments of draft standards and when approved, publish the KGS standards.
• If delegated by the VP Technology, approve new/updated standards.
• Communicate that new/updated KGS standards are published.
• Initiate and manage training on a regular basis and when the need appears.
• Coordination and point of contact for other Cargotec business units within the area of responsibility.
• Coordination and point of contact for external partners utilized in the area of responsibility.
• Regular reporting to the KAMOS Technology LT.

• University degree in engineering or business or similar degree combined with experience
• Strong knowledge about Standardization and Modularization, Engineering and related processes
• Strong collaboration skills and effective networking skills
• Ability to motivate and inspire people and build trust • Project management skills
• Structured way of working with ability to do independent work
• Good planning skills
• Strong analytical skills & holistic view
• Be fluent in English
• Be energetic, have a good driving force and be result oriented
• Experience of engineering tools and systems, general IT skills
• Ability and willingness to travel.
