Lean Manager Manufacturing Europe, Wheeled and Hand Held

SUMMARY
Provide strategic direction and leadership in the area of continuous improvement by developing and implementing the Husqvarna Operating System (HOS) plus handling the quality process leadership including certifications within the European WH and HH sites.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
. Participate in HOS core team meetings
. Help develop general HOS roll out strategic plans, initiatives, activities, training and printed materials
. Feed issues & constraints specific to EU HH&WH into HOS program development
. Coordinate/support/lead HOS activities at EU HH&WH factories
. Coach and challenge factories regarding HOS structure, priorities, methods and tools
. Monitor/drive implementation plans in pursuit of plant goals, coach in KPI and project monitoring
. Participate in plant-level performance reviews
. Lead/support workshops and events
. Conduct lean training
. Govern HOS concept, standards, methods
. Coordinate/lead special projects supporting EU HH&WH as required
. Develop and implement quality system, drive quality improvement, monitor and guide ISO (and similar) certifications

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
. Minimum a Bachelor's Degree; plus five (5) years of lean manufacturing experience, including three (3) years or more of implementation experience across multiple sites
. Extensive training provided by a lean sensei is desired
. Lean manufacturing certification is desired
. Demonstrated continual education on the subject of lean manufacturing is desired
. Deep knowledge in quality processes and tools

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS
. Previous experience in leading a lean transformation for factories and their supply chain flows
. Practical experience leading kaizen events and teaching and coaching lean manufacturing tools
. Practical experience implementing lean manufacturing tools
. High degree of technical aptitude with a demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes, logistics flows, quality processes and JIT is required.
. Previous experience developing and implementing quality systems, including but not limited to tools such as PFMEA, control plans, standardized work and layer audits is required.
. Ability to influence-decision makers in the Husqvarna Group matrix organization even outside the Manufacturing and Logistics area
. Excellent leadership skills and demonstrated ability to teach, coach and persuade in English and preferably in Swedish is required.
. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, in addition to interpersonal, teamwork, and oral/written communication skills is required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Frequent travel to domestic and international sites.
