We are currently looking for a Legal Counsel, a person with significant engagement and drive! You will form an important role in taking IDEAL OF SWEDEN to the next level by bringing innovative solutions to the table while ensuring a compliant growth for the company worldwide.

As our Legal Counsel, you will be providing legal support to all departments throughout IDEAL OF SWEDEN globally. Your focus will be to advise on corporate and commercial legal matters in general, to review, negotiate and draft commercial agreements as well as develop and manage projects in the area of legal compliance. In your role as Legal Counsel at IDEAL Of SWEDEN you will work closely with relevant stakeholders in all departments throughout the organization putting your legal skills into practice in a wide context.

Areas of responsibility

• Negotiate, review and draft commercial agreements and legal documents, including but not limited to:
• a) Distribution and retail agreements;
• b) E-commerce agreement e.g. marketplaces;
• c) Social media and marketing agreements;
• d) IT agreements;
• e) Commercial leases (retail space mainly);
• f) Employment agreements, consultancy agreements, and other employment-related matters,
• g) Power of attorneys and Letter of Authorizations;
• Provide general legal advice on everyday matters throughout the organization, always with a commercial mindset in order to ensure profitable growth for IDEAL OF SWEDEN;
• Work close with relevant stakeholders throughout the organization to initiate processes and ensure progress in the area of compliance. Areas that will be included is e.g. product and design development, GDPR and personal data protection matters, consumer rights, etc.;
• Conduct legal research in relation to various countries around the world;
• Educate relevant stakeholders at IDEAL OF SWEDEN in the area of laws and regulations.

Essential characteristics

• 2+ years of working experience at a reputable Swedish law firm or company as legal counsel; preferably at an international organization in a fast-paced environment;
• A Swedish Master of Laws degree;
• Strong analytic and strategic skills with the ability of finding compliant but yet practical solutions with commercial sense;
• Proven ability to problem-solve in a global environment;
• A multi-tasker thriving from working in a fast-paced environment;
• Highly motivated to learn rather than focus in a specific area of law;
• Able to work independently;
• Comfortable and capable of prioritizing conflicting demands and handling multiple tasks simultaneously;
• A straightforward and excellent team player;
• Detail-oriented with strong project management skills;
• Fluent in English and Swedish. Additional language is a merit.
