We now have an opening for a 12 month maternity leave cover in the Legal Team within Global Expansion, a team based out of the Stockholm Head Office. The Expansion Legal team is a team of 5 lawyers, who provides legal support to our markets in relation to the lease contracts regarding our 5000+ stores, as well as legal advice to other functions within Expansion.
This is a full time temporary position for 1 year with start date as soon as possible. You will report to Head of Legal, Global Expansion.
In this role you will:
Be responsible for enabling, guiding and protecting the H&M Group in relation to leases and other legal contracts that the Group enters into or is a party to. This involves negotiating, writing and reviewing various agreements.
Be responsible for understanding global legal requirements and standards and supporting your relevant regions and markets to achieve these whereever possible.
Support the regions you work with, in expansion contract issues, sharing best practice, recruitment, training and in using our new contract management system, LIMA
Support other functions within Global Expansion in various legal matters related to expansion, such as global construction and global facility management
Have the opportunity to advise on a wide range of other legal matters supported by the Expansion Legal team which will allow for you to expand and deepen your commercial legal knowledge in an international business setting.

In addition to matching the personal profile, we seek the following qualifications:
A university law degree.
At least 2 years’ work experience involving real estate / property law, preferably in an international setting.
Experience in general property law, including drafting and negotiating agreements.
Experience from with a H&M market team is meriting
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (professional English required).
