Linux specialist

In this assignment Vasa Consulting is a subsuppliers to one of the major consulting companies. Today we are searching for a new consultant for work in the position as a Linux Specialist. The work will take place in the customers facilities in Stockholm.

Job description:
- This assignment entails working as a Linux specialist at an industrial company.
-The project includes a custom Linux distribution that is to be feature expanded and integrated.
- You will work at a low level inside Linux to solve real time requirement in C etc.
- Swedish skills is preferable but only English skills is for this assignment sufficient.

Required competence:
Most important skills for this assignment are:
- Embedded programming in C
- Linux Device Driver Development (kernel space)
- Linux application development (user space)
- Embedded systems with Linux
- Setting up cross compiler in Linux environment on PC.

Wanted competence:
- Experience from developing in projects involving open source communities - preferably Linux kernel
- Knowledge of Linux boot process and how it could be optimized
- Experience with real-time kernel that executes in parallel with the Linux kernel
- Experience of Yocto and newest Linux kernel 3.XX.

Start: ASAP
Duration: six months with possibility for long term assignment.
Location: Stockholm
Required languages: Swedish & English
