Scania is currently undergoing an exciting transformation from a traditional truck manufacturer to a provider of complete sustainable transport solutions. IT is a crucial part of this transformation as Scania’s success is depending on flexible and efficient IT solutions that support current and future business requirements.

At Scania Production and Logistics IT, we play a key role in the digitalization of the P&L landscape and work with future technologies. With new & potential use cases in the pipeline, we are currently looking for a new team member in our IT team as our current team member is moving on to new challenges within Scania.



We are…

…a team of four people in the Smart Factory IT group with competences in Advanced Analytics and Cloud technologies, among others. Our team of four is responsible for driving the digitalization journey from the IT perspective. We collaborate extensively with internal and external parties to identify current and future business needs within the Smart Factory domain. We use an agile approach to develop Proof of Concepts, which we evaluate in our Smart Lab facility and hand them over to an implementation team based on their feasibility. We work closely with a sister team of seven members placed in the engineering department and consciously cooperate with other teams within Scania & the Volkswagen group with similar goals and competences.

You will…

…work in a rather unique software development team that has T-shaped skills. You will play a key role in advancing our AI domain by proactively seeking and developing ML use cases. You will take a fail-fast approach to create proof of concepts in-house or with external partners and evaluate their feasibility. You will create a good network within and outside Scania to keep yourself up-to-date with technology trends and to identify potential use cases within our business areas. You will work with excellent engineers and have the opportunity to make a real impact on our way of working, vision and digitalization targets.



You are…


• a person who burns for technology and strives for seeing modern solutions implemented in the business landscape
• a Machine Learning enthusiast with professional experience in this area
• a software developer with about 2-4 years of experience, preferably in developing and evaluating PoCs
• experienced in at least some of the tools in our tech stack, which includes Python, Node, C# (.Net core, WPF), Angular, MQTT, Kafka, Rest, AWS managed services, Docker, Kubernetes, Gitlab, Terraform, Serverless Framework
• skilled in cloud technologies, preferably in AWS
• knowledge/experience in IoT is a merit
• a natural in networking and collaboration and you value sharing information & competence
• someone who sees the bigger picture and has a positive attitude towards change management
