We are now looking for one Machine Safety Engineer to strengthen our team within TE.

We continuously improve our operations with safety in focus by


• Ensure “GEMBA understanding” by participation in chosen investment projects 
• Manage the Competence Group “Machine Safety”
• Initiate the demand for development of standardized methods for Machine Safety globally
• Act as project leader for chosen Machine Safety regarding method development
• Actively in the field of safety expertise support introduction of new technologies and techniques as well as establishment of new production sites.
• Participate in internal forum or work groups connected to Machine Safety e.g. PEIP, TFP and Machine Safety and Automation Competence Group
• Through benchmark with suppliers, VW, MAN etc. discover, understand and adapt new technologies within safety & ergonomics for equipment and process within production
• Participate and contribute at external standardization work through SIS 
• Ensure that Scania have a way of working within Industrial Operation with Power of attorney Declaration of conformity – Machine directive
• Carry out training, presentation and information for engineers and Safety Engineers (Work Environment Engineers) in Machine Safety and way of working

Your personal profile
We are looking for you who have a solid technical safety production background within Scania and/or equivalent work experience. You have a minimum of 8 years of experience after your degree preferably in the relevant engineering industry and have track records of Machine Safety work.  As a person, you are engaged in your work, communicative and have the ability to achieve results through others. You have a driving approach, good analytical skills and competence in the work environment at Scania and work environment legislation, problem solving and SPS.

In your role as Machine Safety Engineer, you are given the opportunity to work globally in many different PRU:s, take part in new technology and create contacts for future challenges within Scania.

As a competence carrier in Machine Safety, you are an important part of supporting existing project teams with your experience and knowledge.
