Malware Research Manager/Coordinator


JOB DESCRIPTION
Coordinate the malware research towards the most actual threats. Maintain and develop our Threat Assessment Chart (TAC) and uphold it s correlation to the company policy regarding the ongoing and future battle against malware. Manage and expand the Research team and uphold the balance between developed remedies and incoming threats. Develop and strengthen the bonds and cooperation between development and research departments. Improve and develop testing measures for the upcoming product releases. Pinpoint and vouch for new critical functions in our products.


CANDIDATE PROFILE
You are a person with a genuine interest in the malware research field, driven by a personal view of ethics which also corresponds to the company policy and direction. You possess excellent communicative skills and a positive attitude. These skills and your deep knowledge in the fields of software development and malware are your main strengths in the position as manager and coordinator for the Lavasoft Research department. Your interpersonal and analytical abilities are top level!

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
You have at least 3-years of documented experience in managing software development teams. You have experience in keeping the vision on track and are used to get projects to the finish line in a given time frame. You have experience in evaluating and developing the skill set of employees. You must have the ability to focus on longer-term objectives along with having the knowledge to be able to prioritize conflicting priorities across multi-discipline projects. In addition to this you should have experience in the field of malware research and a deep knowledge of the ways that malware affects computer systems and computer system end users.

DESIRABLE
Knowledge in C, C++ or C#. Knowledge in GUI development in Delphi. Knowledge in driver development for Microsoft platforms. Experience in security software development.
