As a Malware / Spyware Analyst, you will be helping the most popular and successful anti-spyware company, to develop and maintain its detection database.You will be responsible not only for investigating new threats, but also updating known content while maintaining accurate records and reports.

Job Description

Diagnose and fix problems within existing definitions and signatures
Update existing definitions
Do original research / analysis to identify new and emerging threats
Keep detailed records
Create and update risk assessments
Perform Quality control of definitions

Experience and Skills

You understand the implications of software behaviour and how it affects the user and the system.Legitimate services, system files, processes, registry structures, and CLSID's are not a mystery to you.Sitting in a virtualized environment with packet sniffer and analysis tools at hand, is something you find both stimulating and rewarding.We expect you to be a natural multi-tasker with the communication skills that are necessary to work closely with members of other departments.You possess the ability to understand complex relationships and you have no problem with working independently under pressure.As part of your ongoing internal education and our ongoing commitment to security research, you will be expected to travel to international conferences when the need arises, and interact with various security companies and anti-spyware communities.

Essential

Excellent knowledge of Windows, especially registry, CLSID's, file locations
Experience with investigating program errors and installations
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Excellent communications skills
Product Quality focused
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Excellent spoken and written English

Desirable
Evaluation of new technologies
Experience in security research
