Manager Engineering

Job scope
Lead lead and oversee engineering teams focused on the development, optimization, and industrialization of battery cell technologies. This role requires understanding of battery cell chemistry, design, automation and manufacturing processes.
Responsible for overall engineering management related to battery cell manufacturing process, factory launch, material flow, automation, new product introduction engineering projects for advanced factories, including design and specialized battery manufacturing equipment.
Responsible for industrial project management covering cross functional alignment, scheduling, resource planning and progress follow up of manufacturing process equipment and material handling projects for NOVO’s advanced factories.
Responsible for delivering an overall manufacturing process functionality in time, quality, and cost from design phase to hand-over to manufacturing and maintenance team.



Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Chemical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical Eengineering or equivalent related field.
2+ years of experience in battery cell engineering or equivalent, with a proven track record of direct people leadership in R&D or manufacturing environments.
5+ years experiences in cross functional managing engineers and large-scale projects in multi-cultural environment.
Extensive project management experience in demanding industrial environments.
Experienced in managing people in multi-cultural environments.
Technical experienced in development of manufacturing process for industrial manufacturing equipment.
Competences in industrial methodologies such as value stream analysis, lean manufacturing, FMEA, design to cost etc.
Engineering leadership experience in fast-growing environment ideally in the battery cell, semiconductor, electrochemical, food & pharma or similar industry.
Strong technical expertise in lithium-ion and/or next-generation battery cell chemistry, materials, design, automation, material handling or manufacturing.
Excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills..
Excellent English written and oral skills.
