Manager internship program at Battery Production

Arbetsbeskrivning

Do you see yourself in a leadership position in the future? Do you believe in, and strive for an inclusive and equal workplace and get energy from coaching/mentoring others? At Scania Battery Production we are looking for future leaders to enable our journey towards sustainable transport solutions. This opportunity starts with an internship program, where you will receive knowledge, tools, and support in how to succeed in a future position as a manager.

Dedicated to a sustainable future the electrification trend within the automotive business is moving rapidly. For Scania, this means that we are ramping up production of electric vehicles. One major component in an electrical vehicle is the battery and we have set up a team dedicated to building batteries and high-voltage cables and forming the foundations for Scania’s newest Production Unit; Battery Production.

The team is growing and we are now looking for leaders as we expand our organisation and production capacity.

You will achieve a wide connection network within Battery Production, Production & Logistics, and other functions at Scania. You will work with several other Scania units as well as outside parties and be asked to present material for management teams on all levels of the company.

Leadership training, both practical, On The Job – Training, and theoretical, Scania Academy, First line manager training, and you will be given a mentor and a safe environment to explore new skills and grow personal traits.

About the program:
· Period: 6-9 months
· On the job training, with experienced managers
· Rotation within several functions at the Battery Production
· Tailor made program to best fit the aspirants
· Scania Academy First line manager training in parallel
· Clear development plan in conjunction with the program

Anmol Khawaja just finished the manager internship program and will now move on to a manager role within Engineering. A quote from her:
”It has been a real learning experience and I am happy I got a chance to do this internship before entering my new role as a manager. The most valuable experience during this internship for me was being able to work as a manager trainee in production with my own group.”

Your profile
We think that you have an academic background, but you might as well have gained genuine work-life experience. No previous management experience is needed, but we are looking for someone that enjoys interacting with and developing people.

You are not necessarily the best in class, but you are a team player and great at collaborating, eager to learn as well as happy to find solutions. No previous experience from Scania production is needed, but willingness and commitment to get the knowledge you will need to succeed is vital.

We consist of people with different experiences as well as different nationalities, you therefore need to master both Swedish and English fluently in writing and speech.

Openness, helpfulness, flexibility, and interpersonal skills are valued highly at our Battery Production!
