The vital role of proteins in understanding human biology has been recognized for many decades, but technological limitations severely restricted the comprehensive investigation of the huge number of proteins that could be important in different biological processes and diseases. With Olink, scientists can now simultaneously measure thousands of human proteins using just a few µL of blood sample, with highly specific, thoroughly validated assays that cover a very wide dynamic range (fg/mL to µg/mL).

Position Description

We are seeking an experienced LIMS Manager to join our global IT team at Olink in Uppsala, a fast-growing company in the life science industry. The LIMS Manager will be responsible for leading a small team of LIMS professionals and ensuring that the company's Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) is properly maintained and used by all relevant departments.

Primary Responsibilities

- Lead, coach and develop a team of LIMS professionals
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of the LIMS system
- Work with relevant departments to identify and address any issues or challenges with the LIMS
- Provide training for employees on the use of the LIMS system
- Ensure that the LIMS system is being used in compliance with regulations
- Collaborate with the global IT team and other relevant departments to identify and implement improvements to the LIMS system
- Contribute to the growth and success of the company by driving innovation and continuous improvement



Qualifications / Skills

- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. life science, IT), or similar knowledge

5+ Years of experience in LIMS management or a related field, including experience leading a team
- Excellent communication and people skills, including the ability to lead, coach and motivate a small team
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with various stakeholders in a international fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Fluent in Swedish and English


Merited:

- Knowledge of GxP regulations and life science principle
- Experience in working in a manufacturing or process industry
- Knowledge of business intelligence, SQL and/or relevant programming language
- Experience in working with Labware
- Experience in working with a document system and UAT/SAP protocols


The ideal candidate will have a background in life science and understanding of GxP (Good Manufacturing Practices), as well as excellent people skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team.
