Manager M&A

Corporate Finance is a staff function at the Volvo Group Headquarters, located in Gothenburg. Our department focus is to provide service and support in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), capital structure analysis and in similar financial projects. Corporate Finance is looking for a new colleague to assure the functions capabilities to assist the Group in the transformation towards becoming the leader in sustainable transport solutions.


About Volvo Group Corporate Finance
At Volvo Group Corporate Finance our key responsibility is Global M&A transaction leadership throughout the Volvo Group. Furthermore, we support executive management and Board of Directors with capital structure related analysis as well as analysis in relation to major ad-hoc investment decisions in the Volvo Group. We also support our business areas with M&A related activities and strategies.


Manager M&A main responsibilities
In this position, you will participate in M&A transactions and similar projects. Depending on complexity and size, you will lead transaction projects or manage and drive the diligence processes. In the area of valuations and benchmarking, you will develop our internal capabilities at Corporate Finance. Another responsibility is to provide sophisticated and accurate analysis as well as decision support in M&A related matters. Finally yet importantly, you will manage external advisors, specialized in due diligence, M&A and similar areas.


Who are we looking for?
To be successful in this position you´ll need a relevant academic graduation combined with 3 to 5 years working experience from an investment bank and/or M&A advisor, Corporate Development or similar role. You have an extensive financial modelling experience and expertise combined with good skills in S&P Capital IQ, Factset or similar. Since the job is located in Gothenburg, Sweden and the majority of work will be conducted in English, you have a strong command of both written and spoken business English and Swedish.


As a person, you are business-minded and customer oriented. Structured, analytical and detail-oriented are other key characteristics of yours. Others see you as a self-starter with a proactive mindset. Thanks to your background, you have an established network in the M&A collective.
