SAS Technical Operations is a team of 100 people accountable for the continuing airworthiness of the SAS fleet. It performs a wide variety of tasks including negotiating and managing supplier contracts, engineering, and planning maintenance.
CAMO - Manager Maintenance Planning
As Manager Maintenance Planning you will be reporting to Head of Maintenance Planning & Control. You will be responsible for ensuring maintenance is planned in an airworthy, safe and economical condition for SAS's fleet under restriction of the requirements imposed through European Aviation regulations and according to EASA Part-M, Part 145 and EASA Ops.
You will lead a team of Base and Line planners as well as our Technical Representatives. Your team will deliver on all aspects of Maintenance Planning. From preparing maintenance plans to the planning of aircraft maintenance including component removal and engines, the accomplishment of airworthiness directives (ADs) and report back on the execution and quality check of records of all work performed.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Perform process confirmation of planning procedures laid down in CAME and CAME-P.
Ensure and monitor that planned maintenance is in accordance with agreed Planning Criteria.
Ensure that all line maintenance is planned and executed within the time limits.
Drive, assess, correct and develop CAME-P procedures
Ensure that all documentation for maintenance performed in accordance with regulations and internal procedures.
Ensure that all maintenance is performed optimally for traffic planning's needs.
Ensure follow-up of repetitive defects and MEL’s execution on the individual aircraft.
Establish and ensure timely planning criteria agreement between Line planning and the production units.
Ensure development and timely updates of long-term maintenance visit plan (MVP).
Ensure maintenance package optimization in view of aircraft lease contract conditions and lifetime cost optimization.
Ensure preparation and execution of the FRG and FAI process.
Actively participate in the preparation of the maintenance budget, Aircraft maintenance tender processes and department budget.
Ensure proper functioning of all planning staff and related issues by assessments and continuing process confirmation.



Qualifications and experience
University degree within aviation, or other relevant background from the aviation industry. Additional education within business administration is desirable.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience within aviation industry, whereof minimum 2 years in an appropriate management position.
Experience of practical leadership with a minimum at a tactical level.
Experience in team leadership and development.
Practical experience of managing large contracts with suppliers and internal stake holders, with associated budget processes and cost saving programs.
Practical experience of business transformations and change management.
Practical experience of working with AMOS maintenance management system.
A high proficiency in English, both written and oral
