Manager Materialhandling

Atlas Copco Distribution Center in Örebro is responsible for distribution of spare parts and drilling equipment worldwide for the SDE and URE division. The mission of the SDC is to be a global logistic provider, managing and developing a high qualitative and cost efficient supply chain for our customers. The Manager Materialhandling is reporting to the General Manager of the Shared Distribution Center. He/she will be a member of the SDC Management Team and will work together with the others in the team to fulfil the SDC vision of being perceived as "the choice" of parts and products logistics service. The Warehouse operation of the SDC consists of 70 employees divided into an inflow with receiving and stocking, and an outflow with picking, packing and shipping. The flow also includes a support group: handling returns, kits and prepacking. Managing the operation is two Flow managers and one Logistic developer, all three of them reports to the Manager Materialhandling. The mission of the Manager Materialhandling is to: - secure an efficient order parts flow always reaching the target of o what to deliver o how much to deliver o when to deliver - have an efficient receiving and stocking flow of parts and returns - secure a safe working environment - secure that we have an adequate but lean and transparent organisation - secure that we have the right people (personality, knowledge & experience and capacity to grow) and that they are sufficiently trained and supported to fulfil their mission. - secure that everyone in the organisation respects and lives up to our key-values (Positive Attitude, Respect, Clarity and Commitment). - be an active member of the management team - work actively and carry out the decided common strategy and activities for SDC. - promote positive customer oriented attitude and work with continuous improvements using tools like 5S. Experience requirements You are a person with at least 5 years experience in management of distribution or production. Knowledge / Educational requirements You have a University degree in Engineering or equivalent. You have to be fluent in Swedish and English. You have strong leadership skills and are able to empower the team and create trustworthy and fair relations and you are open minded to incorporate new ideas into your work in order to exceed benchmarks level.
