Manager product planning

Description: Product Planning within Volvo CE Cab division is responsible for the long term planning of the full range of products offered. Its role is to present the voice of the customer into our future product (business) strategies and to coordinate Cab planning activities within Volvo CE. We now seek a person with knowledge from either or a combination from product and marketing of Construction Equipment. Your background could be construction or extraction industry professional, or a construction equipment sales professional, to further our development. The successful candidate is likely to have a minimum of five years industry experience with particular knowledge of the use of construction plant. Experience of purchasing or selling construction equipment would also be seen as an advantage. If you are looking to use your technical and commercial experience in a new direction this position could provide the challenge for which you have been looking. Reports to VP R&D. Key responsibilities: Present the voice of the customer inside the company and into our future strategies Market research projects for identification, quantification and forecast of customer needs Analysis of market evolutions and changes in the competitive positioning as well as the market research necessary to support these activities Close interaction with other Business Lines and Corporate Product Planning Identifying new business opportunities Technical evaluation of competitors together with R&D specialist Regular contact with Volvo dealers throughout the world Close interaction with other departments within CABS Target setting for new Cab projects Experience and qualifications: A minimum of five years relevant industry experience Good technical understanding of construction machinery or similar Understanding of various customer applications and segments Good communication skills and an ability to interact with people on all levels in a trustworthy and confident way Ability to work in an analytical and structured manner University degree in Engineering and/or Marketing Good skills in written and spoken English are a must För information om tjänsten och ansökan, besök vår hemsida www.volvo.com.
