Volvo Group Trucks Operations (GTO) encompasses the production of state-of-the-art products for the truck brands of the Volvo Group. Within GTO you will be part of a global and diverse team of highly skilled professionals who work with passion, trust and embrace change to stay ahead.


We are now looking for a Manufacturing Technology Manager (MTM) within the Software and Electrical Product and Process Verification/Strategy department.
MTM is a global role and are responsible for securing an efficient, quality assured and flexible ESW process within all our Truck sites.
You will state short- and long-term targets within the ESW process and assure that activities are initiated to meet targets. To enable product evolution and manufacturing technology transfer you will also be responsible for starting/supporting Technology development initiatives.
Your primary enabler will be to drive/participate in global networks where the team jointly will set vision, define best practice and consolidate requirements.


Our GTO SW&EE Technology team consists of 20 highly engaged colleagues (14 males and 5 females) situated in Sweden, France and Belgium. Our target is to secure and develop the manufacturing process globally within Embedded Software and Electrical covering Europe, Asia and America


We define and drive strategies for both products and processes to improve the quality, efficiency and flexibility. We are also responsible to secure IT- System needs, hardware/equipment development and to develop/support the growing competence needs ahead. Our focus is both on existing product and processes and on Industry 4.0 and the new technologies related to Electromobility, Connectivity and Vehicle Automation.


We work in AGILE context together with GTT, plants and Process and IT to secure manufacturing requirements, support implementation and to drive continuous improvement.


You will be part of a global and multicultural team where trust, curiosity and performance are important cornerstones.


Experience and competence
Engineering University degree or equivalent
Proven knowledge in Truck Electrical Architecture
Proven leadership and networking experience in a multi-cultural environment
You have experience from driving change in a global environment
Manufacturing experience
Project Management experience
Experience in VPS tools and practice
As all documentation is in English, proficiency in the English language is required.


Personal Skills
As a Manufacturing Technology Manager you are expected to be skilled in driving networks and work in teams. You take responsibility are creative, autonomous and innovative. You have good communication skills and are generous and share knowledge.
You should have a drive to develop yourself and your surrounding within your area of expertise.


Location: Gothenburg Sweden
Travel required: occasional
