“Working at RaySearch allows me to deepen my interest in different machine learning techniques while also learning about the human body and having a real impact on people’s lives."

Elin S, Junior Machine Learning Engineer

We offer master thesis projects in the following areas:

1. Machine learning for medical imaging

We are looking to improve existing deep learning methods for image segmentation, image generation and image registration. There are several directions for master thesis projects in this area: What is the effect of different deep learning architectures? How do we handle noisy training data? How much training data is actually needed and how do we know if the output from the models is good enough?

2. Machine learning for treatment planning

Today we use deep learning to generate radiation treatment plans. Master thesis projects can explore new methods in this area such as machine specific features, adaptive treatment planning, quality assurance and machine learning guided optimizations.
