Reducing the environmental impact of professional communication devices - alternative materials & manufacturing processes for handsets and accessories

At i3tex we develop the products of the future for our clients, and sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. Our partner Ascom develops professional communications devices and alarm systems for use in the most demanding environments. Together we are looking at ways to reduce the environmental impact of their products’ mechanical housings.

If you are interested in product design, materials selection and reducing environmental impact this could be the project for you!

The master thesis includes:

- Literature study

- Product design

- Materials selection

- Prototyping

- Environmental impact assessment

Applicants: Two master students with an interest in mechanical engineering, sustainability, product design, materials science or manufacturing engineering.
It is a merit if you are based in the Gothenburg area during the thesis work.
