Mechanical Design Engineer Power Systems

Job description
We are hiring! Randstad Engineering is now looking for a new talent within mechanical design to join our client’s R&D Power Systems division. You are going to work in a highly motivated team responsible for the development of the power train in both battery and petrol products. This position is within the petrol business and you will be a part of a team developing the future generation of handheld products.

Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities are:
Design engine components
2D and 3D modeling (using Catia and SmarTeam)
New development as well as improvements on existing products
Supporting the team and team deliveries, internal and external contacts
Overall representative in projects with overall responsibility
Lead and follow-up work tasks (material-lab, product test lab, CAE department etc.)


Qualifications
To be successful as Mechanical Design Engineer you shall have the following capabilities and experiences:
MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering or 3 years related experience
3+ years of experience (academic or professional) in Mechanical Design
Experiense with design tools such as Catia, Office, Matlab
Ability to work together with design engineers and resolve technical issues
Strong communication and presentation skills - both verbal and written
Fluent in English

It is preferable if you also have following experiences:
Experience with SmartTeam
Experience in the design of light metal, matching and molding tools
Experience in engine developement (2-stroke)
Understanding of engine manufacturing methods and processes
