Mechanical design engineer to TNTX with a mission of reducing global workpl

At TNTX, we deliver improvements in human performance, reducing workplace fatalities and injuries, using our patent-pending integrated cross-reality solutions. Industrialized countries lose 3.5 out of every 100,000 workers every year due to workplace fatalities. The workplace injury rate is significantly higher. Safe training in confined spaces, at high heights and with hazardous materials and equipment can be very expensive, difficult to scale and sometimes, not even possible to do outside the real-life work environment.

By deploying virtual reality integrated mechanical hardware to create smart training solutions, we can decentralize and lower training costs for workers in our target sectors and environments. Our plan is to cover the global Mining- , Powerline service & installation-, Steelworks & Steel processing-, Forestry & Logging-, Trucking & Shipyards and the Construction sectors.

This enables fun, safe and more frequent training that is scalable and will strengthen the workforce relative to safe and repeatable work procedures. Training repetition consistency will be high and testing easy to integrate with the training.

Our background
TNTX is founded by Thomas Vikström and Thomas Lindgren.
Vikström is a Boden native now based in Silicon Valley. Vikström was a foundational senior engineering leader at Tesla from 2009 to 2019 leading the Model S/X and Semi Truck engineering from concept to post-production. Vikström is a technologist, serial entrepreneur and angel investor who brings rigorous technical innovation and business development focus to TNTX. Vikström is a Board Member of Australian Neobank, Xinja.

Lindgren is a serial entrepreneur, professional board member, chairman and angel investor who is responsible for several international ventures. He has built successful companies across a variety of industries, with a focus on gaming, e-learning and simulation. Lindgren has been integral to drive financing and divestiture to companies such as Autodesk, Saab and Tencent. Thomas Lindgren is an ambassador for Boden and driving initiatives to build a digital industry in the area, including setting up a couple of game studios, in addition to the work with TNTX.

The management team also include Karen Orford and Bill Fisher.
Orford, an Australian entrepreneur based in Silicon Valley. Orford is a start-up specialist, mentor, and an experienced marketing, PR, and business development professional with a demonstrable track record of success within the technology industry. Together with her extensive personal network and global experience as an entrepreneur Karen has helped accelerate the growth, development, and investment of 50 plus Australian companies enabling them to go global.

Fisher established Englishtown.com (now EF English Live), building it to 350MUSD in sales across 12 major markets. He also served as China CEO for EF Education First, growing EF China into a national brand with 6000+ team members across hundreds of learning centers. Fisher has a degree in Computer Science from Brown University, is an investor in several early-stage start-ups. He is currently co-founder and CEO of Stackray, an "AIOps" company.

Our location
Our solutions have an global focus with our headquarter located in the north part of Sweden in the city of Boden in the county of Norrbotten and in detail, in the middle of Boden Business Park (GPS: 65°45'28.5"N 21°45'38.5"E).

Norrbotten County, home of the Aurora Borealis (northern lights), is the host of many of the major local industries within our target sectors, with Boden being at the heart of many of the transport and logistic routes. Furthermore, by situating ourselves in the rapidly developing region, we are at the heart of innovation, with support from the local education programs that are at the forefront of adapting technology for different industries, including machine and mechanical engineering integrations.

With our proximity to Luleå University of Technology, where there are many post-graduate programs that work closely with our target industries, as well as with emerging technologies in Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality, we will have no shortage of expertise.
Boden have warm summers where the sun shines 24/7 and cold crispy winters with plenty of snow. E.g. you can use the surfboard on the summer and snowboard on the winter within 20 minutes by car :-)

Your new challenge
We are now hiring a mechanical design engineer that will be one of our team key players. We are looking for your creative brain to succeed in our joint mission and in exchange, we are giving you the development journey of your lifetime (and of course a salary with benefits).

At TNTX, you will be working in an open and innovative environment where you, together with your team, strive to develop the best system-solutions possible for smarter education. You will survey and set the mechanical requirements needed to produce true-to-life virtual/augmented reality training programmes and design the machines used in our cutting-edge competence development programmes. You will be the link between idea and reality.

The most important thing for us is your creative, forward thinking-i will-resolve-this-attitude and your ability to present and explain complicated things to common people. To succeed we also believe that you have an engineering degree and at least a few years of experience in the mechanical and/or electro mechanical design area.
