Media Manager

Can you think out of the box yet keep both feet on the ground?IES is looking for an energetic individual who can market our organisation, be responsible for printed/online publicity, support new schools and successfully juggle a range of challenging and varied projects related to modern education.We currently have a gymnasium school and 8 "grundskolor" across Sweden with plans to expand for 2008.Depending upon the qualifications and experience of applicants, work tasks may include the following: - making posters for advertising/school projects - organising PR events for new schools - writing letters and news articles for our webpage or newspapers - participate in a range of meetings to discuss and develop the organisation - organising and drive a company newsletter - other small to medium projects requiring good communication skills and an understanding os people You will be expected to be a strong communicator in both English and Swedish and have good IT-skills including the ability to work with graphic design software and the standard office packages.You will manage your own time, working independently with both set projects and your own ideas.This is a unique opportunity to work with highly varied and challenging tasks at the forefront of an international organisation.Please state your salary demands in your letter of application.To learn more about this position, our organisation and the benefits of working for IES please visit our website: www.engelska.se We follow all relevant Swedish employment laws.You will receive a one-year, temporary full-time contract.If both parties are satisfied your contract will become permanent at the end of that period.
