Our client in Stockholm is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer. The contract is for 6 months with possible extensions. Key skills: UMTS/WCDMA/GSM, RBS/BTS/Base Station/PICO Base Station/Micro Base Station, Mechanical design, NEBS, ETSI, IEC Job Description: . Responsible for pre-study, requirement analysis/definition and architecture design for wireless Base Station cabinet, modules and boards for indoor and outdoor applications. . Responsible for compact Base Station mechanical design complying with industry standard specifications for environmental, mechanical conditions and acoustic noise limits. Essential Skills required: . >7 years industrial experience in mechanical design for electronics packaging. . Experience in design of die casting, sheet metal design, cooling techniques, manufacturing practices. . Knowledge in thermal analysis, acoustic noise prevention analysis and design, dust and moisture protection design etc. . Be familiar with applicable mechanical design & environmental adaptability standards for telecommunication products, such as NEBS, ETSI, IEC, etc. . Be able to use PTC Wildfire 2.0 CAD system or similar products. . Familiarity with the WEEE directive and RoHS requirements. Additional skills required: . Fluent spoken and written English . Good communications and presentation skills . The ability to communicate and work in multicultural team environment . The ability to think of novel solutions and prove them. Beneficial: . Experience from mechanical design in Pico/Micro Base Station for WCDMA and GSM is preferred. . Knowledge of cabling, interconnection technologies, injection moulding, plastics material design and manufacture . Experience with Micro TCA is preferred. .
