The MES- engineer is responsible to analyze, develop and support manufacturing systems. This requires broad end-to-end knowledge of the manufacturing processes from different perspectives: operator, quality engineering, quality assurance, logistics, etc. Solutions need to fit together in the end-to-end business flow. The MES support engineer also works in close collaboration with the production engineering, quality, supply chain and Manufacturing departments. You are part of the technical team with your colleagues in MES. But you will also have a close relation with our ISIT-team.
We are updating our MES-system and will after that also move our factories and support team into our new ABB Robotic Campus on 65 000 m2 in 2026. A great working place to be part of building. Your responsibilities
Provide guidance and support to global users including diagnosing, root cause investigations and MES changes/updates, troubleshooting, and resolving any MES issues that may come up.
Analyze and understand business needs from an end-to-end perspective, taking into account other projects.
Participate in Kaizens and other process improvement activities while aligning them with the Business Solutions Roadmap.

Your background
Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of related work experience OR Master’s degree in field with 0-2 years of related work experience is what you need to start with.
Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) implementation and support experience, experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools such as SAP is great if you have done.
Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities and have a good handle on software and hardware troubleshooting should be a benefit.
Understanding of how different systems may be interfaced and the flow of data between different systems and applications.
Working knowledge of Manufacturing Execution System experience such as Camstar, SAP (HANA), Oracle Agile PLM, SPC.
