Emerson produces high precision instrumentation for Level measurement across various industries. You will be working closely with our system architects, product managers and engineers to assure metrology accuracy. Part of the work will be in the international arena with colleagues in Emerson as well as external parties such as customers and authorities within the area of metrology.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
• Ensure that metrology requirements are met across different stages of product development, qualification, manufacturing, and field verification
• Apply measurement science, and statistics to develop, document and maintain procedures and methods for electrical, dimensional, physical, mechanical and environmental testing and verification based on accuracy and precision requirements
• Define relevant product metrology requirements, and methods of verification, from the early product development stages and throughout the product life cycle
• Work closely in supporting system architects and product managers to ensure that our products meet applicable industry and metrology standards
• Take active part in both development projects and technology studies to warrant that products are designed to meet customer expectations in accuracy performance
• Ensure that used methods of calibration and verification meet applicable performance requirements set by internal and external standards, as well as exhibit adequate traceability to national and international metrology standards
• Develop and carry out training to increase the organization’s skills in the area of metrology
• Host visits and meetings related to product metrology approvals and the interpretation of market specific requirements
• Represent our company in international relations globally with our sister companies as well as international metrology agencies and take part in the development of industry standards
FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED:
• Proven experience in the area of metrology. Master of Science degree or equivalent is a plus
• Good skills in general metrology, including methods and tools for measurement uncertainty analysis, calibration, and measurement system analysis
• Experience in statistics and data analysis using computer applications (e.g. Minitab)
• Knowledge within legal metrology will be considered an advantage
• Language skills: Fluency in Swedish and English

As Metrology Manager, you will be reporting to the Director Global Quality.
