Mine Geologist

As a Mine Geologist, you will work within The Mine Technical Service Team at Aitik. The Mine Technical Service Team consists of 20 professionals who help the mining department at Aitik with all the technical and geological support needed to run the business. The group is divided into smaller teams of geology, mine planning, drilling and blasting and projects.
Your main tasks as a Mine Geologist are the following:
• Drill rig supervision and management.
• Drill core logging, planning and sampling.
• Ore interpretation and reporting.
• Assisting with block model updates and reconciliation.
You will work in teams but also independently. The position is full-time Monday to Friday and the role is located at Aitik, Gällivare.
Education and other qualifications
We are looking for a university-educated geologist, preferably with experience from the mining and exploration industry. Experience of Leapfrog and Deswik is an advantage.
You are expected to be good at communicating, be results-oriented, flexible, be able to work both independently and in groups and work proactively for the company's development. You should be able to express yourself well in both Swedish and English.
B-Driver's license is a requirement.
