Modelling Consultant / Pre-sales Engineer

Tacton Systems AB, founded in 1998, is a leading international software development company in sales configuration.We have a worldwide strategic collaboration with some of the largest and most highly regarded application providers in the market - the likes of IBM, Lawson, SMARTEAM, Jeeves, SolidWorks, Autodesk, etc.We currently have 40 employees.Tacton ConfiguratorT is our standard software for supporting effective selling of tailor-made module-based products.It is based on many years of research at the Swedish Institute of Computer Science (SICS).Our customers are international companies selling telephone exchanges, fans, pumps, lifts, trucks, computer software, industrial gates, medical and biochemical equipment, etc.We are expanding, and looking for people keen to join us and further develop our exciting company.Modelling Consultant / Pre-sales Engineer Your role is to simplify the sale of complex products by describing them.This requires analysis, innovative thinking, and a results-oriented way of working.You will be communicating directly with product and sales management, and finding new ways to dramatically enhance the efficiency of many business-critical processes.Tacton's solutions are integrated into existing IT structures.It is therefore a plus if you have previously worked with market-leading ERP, CAD or PDM tools.You should be familiar with the process of introducing complex systems.You should also have a sound technical all-round education.The work is normally done in the form of projects, mostly at our office.However we also work on site with customers.This involves some business travel, both inside and outside Sweden.There may also be jobs where you provide assistance, bringing technical skills to the sales process. We are looking for people who have/are: .a strong interest in technology, and the ability to implement our customers' needs in intuitive and creative solutions .a higher engineering/computer science degree, better still with technical skills in the area of machinery or industrial economics .experience of manufacturing industry, and ideally industrial sales .very good knowledge of both spoken and written English.French, German, or Italian would be a plus..able to communicate easily with other people, good at building relationships, good at taking the initiative, and keen to develop your skills.
