Module Team Director – Controls & Calibration

As a Module Team Director you are overall responsible for the development of systems and components

in a cross functional team. You will also be line manager for the complete module team and you will have

the assignment to lead and develop the team. The module team consists of four different areas, i.e. project, hardware, software and calibration for the complete powertrain. Controls & Calibration develops Software, Electrical hardware/electronic control modules and mechanical hardware for installation in vehicle. Controls & Calibration is also developing calibration solutions for vehicle tophat applications. The work is done in close cooperation together with Geely and Volvo and has a lot of interactions as well with external suppliers.

The department has lately received a lot of new strategic tasks and is right now expanding the competence and work task responsibilities extensively.

Responsibilities and tasks

- Lead the development of powertrain functions- software- and hardware solutions towards the different projects and future business needs

- Develop and lead the module team in Gothenburg (CEVT) as the responsible line manager

- Develop and functionally lead the work, both in Gothenburg and in Hangzhou (Cevt China).

- Build up and long-term secure the needed competence, capacity and working processes within the area.

- Execute releases and change management during the whole lifecycle for own modules and systems

- Lead the establishment and creation of the new Controls & Calibration operation according to the new strategy

- Keep commonality across different projects

- Project management of specific tasks across the engineering function area

- The role is reporting to Vice president Powertrain Integration

Requirements

- B.Sc. or M.Sc. eng.

-  5 to 10 years’ experience of automotive development

- Relevant experience within controls and calibration area

- Knowledge about trends and applicability of new technologies

- Experience of project management

- 5 to 10 years experience of people management

- Ability to drive, motivate and convince

- Persistency to pursue targets and take decisions

- Cultural awareness, especially Asian – European culture
