Mondi Business Paper South Africa consists of three main segments: forests, the Kraft or pulp production operation and the paper mill. The Richards Bay Pulp mill, South Africa is currently undergoing a major expansion project and we are now looking for a: Production Manager to the Fibreline business unit in Richards Bay Mill, South Africa As a Production Manager you will contribute with your knowledge within bleaching and pulping process, manage the business and be responsible for manufacturing pulp to the required quality at budgeted production levels and costs. You will ensure that the plants comply with all legal permits and that monitoring and testing is done according to requirements. You will be responsible for promoting the effectiveness of the business unit teams through the development of teamwork and ensure that the available resources - maintenance, technical services, suppliers and consultants are fully utilized in problem solving and preventive maintenance. You will further promote a learning culture in the section and encourage employees to continue their studies. The total headcount is 50+ employees through a management team. You will also ensure that planned safety and housekeeping inspections are carried out according to schedule and follow up on all variances and findings. Your Qualifications: - At least 5-7 years in a supervisory role within a Pulp Mill or other industrial environment - BSc in Chemical Engineering You should also have the ability to lead organizational change and have strong business optimization and people management skills.
