Multimedia SW Developer, Android (C/C++/Java)

Are you a passionate Software Developer with solid experience from software development and embedded systems, looking for a new and interesting project?

Since early 2000 we have supported our clients on a vast number of projects, all over the world. Our consultant pool consists of Swedish and non Swedish consultants within the fields of embedded systems telecomm, online solutions and application development. Now we are looking for new candidates to come work with us as consultants, on-site in Sweden.

We are looking for a talented, innovative and enthusiastic developer with experience to produce state-of-the-art platform software for mobile devices. You will plan, design, implement (C/C++/Java), debug and verify software. You will work in teams based both in Sweden and across international boundaries. The team is responsible for innovate the multimedia area, improving the Android codebase, troubleshoot, extend the functionality and integrate/enable the customer's technologies, covering the full stack from low level software to application development. You will work in a highly experienced team with planning, designing, implementing and verifying the software components that will be used in future mobile devices. You will also be responsible for enhancing and maintaining existing software.

Main tasks
*) Participate as an engineer in activities held by the Multimedia SW team
*) Support the projects with expertise in the Multimedia area
*) Coordinate work with colleagues at other sites.
*) Quality assurance activities (Test hours, manual and automated test cases, etc)

Requested competence (please make sure this is documented in your CV)
*) BS/MS in computer science or equivalent experience
*) Professional or documented C/C++/Java programming
*) Experience in Android platform, Android multimedia middleware
*) Good communication skills and a team player
*) Self driven problem solver and eager to learn
*) Professional spoken and written English

Start: spring / summer 2014.
Duration: 12-24 months on site in Sweden, with a high probability for extension.
Extent: Full-time, 40h/week. Paid overtime can be requested by the customer.
Compensation: Negotiable. We offer a competitive salary, primarily in the form of a longterm employment and according to Swedish standards; governmental pension plan, five weeks paid vacation, iPad/laptop, mobile phone with data plan subscription, priority medical care insurance, health care insurance, income level insurance, work liability insurance, language course support, sports activity contribution. Paid transfer to Sweden including registered partner and children. When applicable, family members will get permit to live and work in Sweden.
For Schengen-citizens, there is also an option to undertake the assignment as a subcontractor to Telescope.
