Description of Position:
Karlskrona Internationella Grundskola is an IB (International Baccalaureate) candidate school located in Karlskrona, Sweden. The school offers both the IB, PYP (Primary Years Program) and MYP (Middle Years Program). This is our third year of operation and we are continuously growing. 
We are now seeking a professional and passionate MYP teacher who wishes to be a part of the continued development of an IB-school in Karlskrona. The successful candidate must have a desire to work within an IB environment and have experience in teaching Science and Mathematics. A combination with other subjects can also be interesting for our school.
In this role, you will be a Class Mentor/Homeroom Teacher and responsible for teaching Science and Mathematics for composite classes of MYP students aged 12-16 years old. You might also teach a third subject as well or take on other duties supporting our program/s. 
Additional duties include:
Collaborative Unit Planning/meetings
Creating/Utilizing varied forms of IB assessments to inform teaching and learning practices
Develop and maintain a positive learning environment
Being professional in your conduct towards students, colleagues and other stakeholders
A commitment to improve the teaching and learning of a diverse and inclusive community of students
Qualities of a successful applicant:
Must have a teaching degree
IB, MYP experience is ideal, however, a desire to work in an IB environment is a must
Proactive team player in a new and growing IB school
Lifelong learner and internationally-minded
Practices differentiated instruction  
Teaches with an interdisciplinary approach 
Demonstrates a constructivist approach to pedagogy, including inquiry-based teaching and learning as well as teaching for conceptual understanding 
Excellent and fluent communication skills in verbal and written English
Role-models all IB, Learner Profile traits, such as e.g. being Caring, Open-minded, Inquirer, Reflective, and a Communicator.
