ABB Power Grids, Network Control is currently looking for a Business Controller for the unit in Sweden that sell and deliver network management and control systems solutions for almost the entire chain of power, telecom and water companies to markets in Europe, Middle East Africa and Asian Pacific. Offerings comprise a broad range of solutions to address the most critical needs of utility and power companies.
As Business Controller and head of the controlling team for Network Control, you will be part of the unit’s management team and act as a business partner supporting all managers and especially the Global Operating Unit manager and you will a direct reporting line to the HUB Europe Business Controller. The team consist of 2 project controllers and 1 order handler that you will be supervising. As the controller for this business you will have the full responsibility for the financials of the product group. You will be reporting to the Operating Unit manager Europe and to the Hub controller.
Your responsibilities
Develop financial and operational plan partnering with OU Manager Europe.
Evaluate financial implications of various decisions, if necessary build scenarios and recommend actions.
Monitor all financial aspects of the business and related costs, operational KPI’s, and provide insight and analysis to support operational decision-making, also closely monitor OCF, Operational EBITA.
Establish and oversee processes and tools necessary to obtain transparent and reliable financial data and business information, also to ensure high quality and compliance of financial data and business information in line with defined standards & financial closing schedules.
Ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley [SOX], US GAAP and all ABB policies to stand in with Internal Controls and Compliance requirements.
Take the lead in sustaining the alignment with Accounting Policy, Internal Controls and Assurance whereas ensure transparency in financial reporting and disclosures.
Keep proficient communication with internal stakeholders with timely, effective and efficient communication with relevant LBL/ BL/ Corporate Controllers, Accounting Center, and other internal customers such as Operations, ARIC, Taxes, Finance, Group, HR to deliver key messages, identify and discuss areas for improvement.

Your background
You hold a master or bachelor’s degree in business Administration/Finance or similar
7-10 years of relevant work experience in business/sales controlling, project controlling and/or accounting, in a complex international project organization
Experience in reporting to high level management
Knowledge of finance and control processes, USGAAP regulations.
Experience with SAP
Hands-on mentality and the ability to work proactively, independently and pragmatically
Self-motivated, goal- and result-oriented mindset
Fluency in English is required
