Job Title: Store Manager

Reports To :Area Manager

Job Purpose :
To effectively and efficiently manage the store in order to maximise sales and profit and minimise costs within pre-set targets.

Main Duties:

Team Management:
To coach, motivate and develop the store sales team to achieve personal and store objectives through:
- Effectively communicating and ensuring all staff and management adhere to all Company policies and procedures
- Identifying the training and development needs of all Managers and Supervisors within their store
- Ensuring performance management issues are identified and addressed using the traffic light process
- Ensuring reviews and appraisals are conducted on the sales and operations teams, within set timescales
- Leading the team forward, acting as an inspirational role model, striving for excellence at all times
- Motivating individuals to achieve more; identifying talent management

Must ensure that Sunday's are managed effectively - working sufficient Sunday's throughout the season

Controlling costs:
Costs that come under the Store Manager's control are:
- Man-hour usage and wage cost control
- Cleaning costs
- Electricity and gas costs
- Hangers, bags, cubes and stationery
- Trade refuge and recycling
- Store expenses
- Store write-offs of destroyed and faulty stock
- Controlling all store orders by not exceeding budgets and adjusting budgets in line with sales performance
- Regularly obtaining new quotes for refuge collection

Initiates area/regional projects / documents and provides solutions
Displays commitment; is motivated and conscientious
Demanding of others and encourages ownership
Confident decision maker, problem solving effectively
