Proffice is one of the fastest growing companies within the Nordic region, according to Growth Plus.Proffice provides flexible staffing solutions such as temporary staffing, recruiting, outsourcing and career and development programs.Proffice operates in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden.Proffice AB is listed on the Stockholmsbörsen (Stockholm Stock Exchange).Proffice is now looking for a scientist for a temporary position in biomolecular NMR spectroscopy in the NMR Group at the Structural Chemistry Laboratory, at the AstraZeneca research site in Mölndal, Sweden.The Structural Chemistry Laboratory is a research facility investigating protein structure and protein-ligand interactions to assist the entire AstraZeneca organization in the drug discovery process.The structural chemistry group in Mölndal consists of 40 people working in three closely integrated core disciplines: X-ray crystallography, NMR spectroscopy, and protein engineering.This exciting environment stimulates creative and focused research, and offers excellent opportunities for personal and scientific growth.The NMR group contributes to about a dozen projects at any one time, covering the entire discovery process.Our activities range from lead discovery by investigating protein-ligand interactions with 1D and 2D NMR, to structure-based drug design by full structure determination.Constant development and implementation of new methods is required to keep pace with the increasing demands of drug-discovery research.The laboratory is one of the most technologically advanced in the world: we are equipped with a 800 MHz spectrometer, and two 600s, both of them with cryoprobes and interfaced to state-of-the-art sample preparation robotic systems for high-throughput work.
