Job Summary "The MathWorks is the leading developer and supplier of software for technical computing and Model-Based Design. We maintain a strong collaborative relationship with the academic community tocreate a wide range of products, resources, and programs that enhance learning,teaching, and research. We seek a Senior Sales Representative position who will play a key strategic role in establishing our tools within academic institutions across the Nordic and Baltic territory. The Senior Sales Representative will be responsible for selling the company's products and services via telephone and on-site visits resulting in increased revenue results, and product penetration." Responsibilities This individual will be responsible for a mix of appropriate activities including generating and qualifying new prospects, opportunity management and closing sales by using a strategy-based approach. To include: - Building a comprehensive territory plan to execute specific strategies to maximize territory revenue. - Preparing required sales documentation including activity reports and forecasts. - Working with cross functional teams such as technical marketing, local marketing, application engineers and legal to set direction for the territory - Managing sales funnel by maintaining a consistent flow of new opportunities - Prospecting within territory to identify sales opportunities with new and existing customers Qualifications * Bachelor of Science Degree * 8+ years of High Tech or technical software sales experience. * Knowledge of university market a plus. * CRM (Siebel in specific) knowledge is a plus.
