We are now looking for an Operational buyer to join our skilled and dedicated team. As an Operational buyer you will play a vital role to secure material availability and improve performance from our global supplier base to our factory in Västerås.
In this role, you will report to the Planning & Fulfillment Manager.


Your responsibilities
Initiating purchase orders according to the purchase requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures.
Close follow up of order acknowledgement and ensuring of updated ERP system related to acknowledgement and changes.
Track material deliveries from supplier. Identify, manage and prevent short- and long-term material shortages from suppliers.
Communicate closely with production planning, production preparation, strategic purchasing and delivery project managers to mitigate impact of potential material shortages.
Collaborate with suppliers and strategic purchasing to obtain the best possible supplier performance in terms of supplier on time delivery, lead time, forecasting and flexibility.
Taking lead in sudden arisen situations related to material shortage and quickly added needs of purchases.
Monitor supplier performance (OTD, Lead time, Collaboration) and escalate in situations of unsatisfied performances from suppliers.
Develop and lead action plans together with supplier and strategic purchasing to improve supplier performance.
Associated administrative tasks to ensure that systems and e.g., contracts are updated. Handling of invoices etc.



Your background
University degree in Engineering, Economics or equivalent experience or training.
Experience in procurement / sourcing / supply chain / material planning / inventory planning or related fields.
Experience from working in an industrial environment, preferably in a project-based organization.
Excellent communication and presentation skills. Fluent in Swedish and excellent knowledge in English.
Analytical, target-oriented and structured approach to solving problems and delivering to target.
Experience in SAP is a strong advantage.
Proficiency with MS Office and Excel.
