Operational Excellence Manager

Voith Paper Fabrics is a leading manufacturer of machine clothing with sites in Europe, North America and Asia. We are a part of the German industry conglomerate Voith AG, witch is one of the largest manufacturers of heavy machinery for the Paper industry. Voith Paper Fabrics Högsjö AB is situated in the west part of Sörmland, in the village Högsjö. The company turn over is 450 Mkr and we have 270 employees. Tasks & responsibilities - Leads, coaches & facilitates the application of a common site approach of Lean/Six Sigma Tools including: DMAIC tool set, Process Behavior Charts & Value Stream Mapping. - Working with the local site management to improve the production process by thinking strategically-working to apply their insight to challenge & adapt current ways of doing things. - Actively participate and collaborate with all levels within the company to create a Culture of Discipline through employee involved teams and Lean/Kaizen initiatives. - Evaluate new methods and equipment to reduce/eliminate non valued added activities, increase machine and production efficiencies for all work areas. - Coordinate and participate in cost reduction initiatives such as energy, safety, set-up reduction, recycling. - Train and develop staff in 5S / Lean Manufacturing principles. Relentlessly measure performance through well-established short and long range goals. Candidate requirements - 4 year Engineering degree (ME or IE preferred). - At least 5 years experience in production environment. - Certified Six Sigma Black Belt. Experienced in the use of statistical/quality tools, Kaizen, Lean manufacture, 5S, TPM and other modern manufacturing techniques. - Ability to lead quality audits. Experience in auditing systems (Benchmarking / best Practice). - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, open minded, ability to adapt to new ideas, flexible, self-driven and able to work with minimal supervision. - Willing to travel 20-40% of the time. Tjänsten är baserad i Sverige men kommer att inefatta arbete och resor i andra länder samt en hel del kontakter med utländska kollegor. Du skall därför behärska Engelska i tal och skrift.
