Our customer is seeking an experienced Operational Purchaser to join their team in Västerås. As an Operational Purchaser, you will be responsible for managing the daily cooperation with suppliers, ensuring material availability, and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will be the following:
- Take charge of daily collaboration, establishing relationships, and overseeing material management with suppliers
- Monitor the delivery of materials from suppliers to ensure availability and proactively address any short- or long-term shortages
- Maintain close communication with production planning and sales teams to align material availability with production and customer demand
- Collaborate with the supplier base and category team to secure the necessary capacity and flexibility to meet projected market and production needs
- Track supplier performance and key performance indicators (KPIs), working with suppliers and the category team to achieve optimal supplier performance in terms of on-time delivery, lead time, and flexibility
- Develop and implement action plans in conjunction with suppliers and the category team to enhance supplier performance and material availability
- Employ effective inventory strategies to strike a balance between material availability, flexibility, and inventory turnover while optimizing overall performance

Requirements:
- Possession of a degree in Engineering, Economics, logistics, or equivalent work experience
- Experience in procurement, supply chain, material planning, or similar fields, preferably within the manufacturing industry
- Proficient in MS Office and Excel, with additional expertise in the SAP MM Module considered a significant advantage
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in both Swedish and English

- A team-oriented individual with collaborative skills, capable of working in an international business setting
