Operations Business Expert

The Company SunGard FRONT ARENA develops advanced financial trading software for a global customer base of leading investment banks.Our business critical systems are used on trading floors around the world by demanding customers.They expect the vendor to know their business and provide the right solutions that give them an edge on competitors.We are currently investing in our rapidly growing Operations business strengthening our STP platform.The Role FRONT ARENA's Operations team is looking for a Business Expert who is passionate about providing the most ergonomic software solutions for confirmations, settlement, Swift messaging and all operations' workflow for vanilla and derivatives products. This role is truly demanding and the candidate must have a good relevant degree and be ambitious, self motivated and have a unique ability to understand the market problems experienced by customers. The Business Expert candidate will report to the Operations Product Manager.Requirements Ideally, the individual should have participated in the installation or upgrading of operations' solutions within a large financial institution.Alternatively the individual will have worked for a major software vendor providing Operations' solutions for a complete range of financial products. In either case, it essential that you already have accumulated at least 3 years of Operations' experience (including a good understanding of Swift) and have a very strong interest in furthering a career in Operations. A clear capacity to communicate how to solve business problems to software developers should be demonstrable from pervious roles. Working within a highly experienced, enthusiastic and growing team you will be servicing a wide base of customers, client service personnel and salesmen in different geographical regions by: . Helping the team to crystallize, communicate and execute on the long term strategy for Operations . Participating in workshops and other pre-sales activities . Produce software development specifications by identifying market problems . Gathering and analysing market information that can be used as a base for the Product Management decisions .
