We are looking for a skilled VMware Operations Engineer to join our infrastructure team in Sweden. In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for the design, deployment, and day-to-day operations of our VMware-based virtualisation environments. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability, performance, and security across our virtualised infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
Operate, maintain, and optimise VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, and NSX environments
Monitor infrastructure performance, troubleshoot incidents, and drive root cause analysis
Manage capacity planning, patching, and lifecycle management of virtual infrastructure
Collaborate with network, security, and storage teams to ensure integrated and resilient solutions
Contribute to automation and Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives (e.g., Ansible, Terraform)
Support disaster recovery planning and ensure business continuity
Maintain documentation of architecture, runbooks, and operational procedures
Participate in on-call rotation as required

Required Qualifications
4+ years of hands-on experience with VMware vSphere/vCenter/ESXi
Solid understanding of virtualisation concepts, networking (VLANs, SDN), and storage (SAN/NAS)
Experience with VMware NSX and vSAN is a strong advantage
Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerCLI, Python, or similar)
Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., vROps, Zabbix, Prometheus)
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Good communication skills in English; Swedish is a plus



Preferred Qualifications
VMware certifications (VCP-DCV or higher)
Experience with cloud integration (VMware Cloud on AWS, Azure VMware Solution)
Background in ITIL or similar service management frameworks
