Who we are?
Operations Planning at IO&Q is responsible to manage and develop the Order to Delivery process for Volvo Car Group including LYNK&CO in Luqiao as well as Polestar in Chengdu and Luqiao. Operations Planning has an additional key strategic deliverable to propose and implement the optimized OTD 2.0 target picture.
Program Planning is one of the three legs in Operations Planning. The main deliverable for the Program Planning team is to deliver the Global Master Production Schedule (MPS), for all Volvo Car Group manufacturing plants. We do this monthly and ensure our plan is considering both the demand and available capacity. To make this happen cross functional collaboration with stakeholders in the Order to Delivery process is key.

In the role you will be part of the change journey of implementing OTD 2.0 target picture for program planning area; new IT systems tools, new processes and ways of working is in pipeline.
You will be part of a dedicated and competent team with whom you will be able to exchange knowledge around the new Order to Delivery process and in particularly the new Production Program planning process.
You will have enriching working relations with many parts of the organization giving you unique insights in how the new Order to Delivery process works and how to contribute to the change journey in order to improve the quality of the Production Program. You will have the opportunity to work with both Markets, Regions, Factories, Procurement, Outbound logistics, Strategy & Business Ownership and others. This will provide opportunities to build a big network which will further enhance your knowledge and your ability to make a difference for our company.       

What will you do?
You will work in the monthly program process, and together with the markets/regions/factories align on production volume/mix to support sales plan and stock targets for the planning horizon. Facilitating compromises to achieve an optimized production program, buildable and sellable.

Active participation throughout the MPS planning round, liaising continuously with stakeholders within the OtD Process. Analyse, propose and implement scenarios within the monthly program process in a controlled way, as well as drive and implement continuous improvement work within the area of Production Program Planning.

Timely collation of the PNO12 production request from assigned Markets, challenging the production volumes and mix in line with agreed sales forecasts and industrial pre requisites. Maintenance and management of colour, upholstery, and option forecasts for the assigned Markets and safeguard qualitative input in systems by analyses of data from multiple data sources. Setting up & facilitating meetings with assigned Markets/Regions on latest forecasted mix and development according to the OTD 2.0 Demand Planning initiative.

With responsibility for decided Markets and specific focus areas you work in close collaboration together with the full program planning team and handle unplanned events through continuous alignment and optimization towards new decisions and pre-requisites.

On a personal level you are analytical and have good ability to run negotiation. You are strong with your interpersonal skills, such as building relationship, having a good and clear communication and convey message in the most efficient way.
You are a good team player and have highly result driven problem solving approach with a proactive mindset. Your strong business acumen helps you to have a holistic view and connect the dots to come up with god solutions and ideas. You have a self-governed drive to initiate tasks, and you are not afraid to ask questions.
You have good project management skills and you always make sure that things get done. You are positive to change, always wanting to improve things and respect the deadlines.   

You and your skills
We believe you have good general understanding of the sales and production planning areas and OtD from a commercial as well as from an industrial business perspective. You have experience from working with planning and in a multi-cultural environment.
You have B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree, which can be in different areas. However, you need to be fluent in English, spoken and written and have a knowledge in Product Structure & Offer.
