Operator Analysis Engineer

Main purpose of job -------------------------------------------------------------------- Working as a Principal/Senior/Development Engineer, the job's main purpose is to provide a competent level of technical authority and analysis of one or more technical skill areas within the Operator Analysis Team.This includes taking high level technical responsibility within our Client for the tasks allocated.The main work area will be analysis of customer requirements and the Specification, Design and Development of Mobile Telecommunications Systems.Key functions ----------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Take high level technical responsibility for tasks within the operator analysis group, to analyse and develop areas of functionality and technologies from the requirements of European Network Operators and other sources and to help support the development of future mobile telecoms technologies and functionality.2. Produce project requirements for the areas of functionality and technologies to be developed within our client.3. To help produce project plans for functionality to be developed within our client.4.To produce high level designs for areas of functionality and technologies being developed.5.Develop and Implement areas of functionality and technology towards the requirements of Client and European telecommunications operators.6. Support specific areas of functionality in developments.7. Monitoring and influencing changes to the requirements in external specifications that are relevant to the specified development activities.8.Participate in and make presentations at conferences and meetings.Skills and experience ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. A degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Natural Science, Mathematics, Engineering or any related discipline.2. At least 4 years experience in a relevant communication engineering field preferably with experience in Software and wireless mobile terminals engineering.3.Expert knowledge in mobile technology with a bias towards mobile systems and software.4. Ability to estimate project costs and manage systems tasks within defined budgetary and time parameters.5. Experienced in defining strategic plans to meet current and future business objectives for Client development groups.6. The jobholder must have a proven track record in proficient presentation and communication.
